OFFICER REPORTS:

Executive V.P. – James Mitchell

Jim noted that several Clubs are delinquent in the payment of their Booklet ad. Also some Clubs still have not furnished Jim with the name, address and phone number of their Club’s publicity chairperson as requested several meetings back.  Jim talked about ways of increasing membership in the SFAA and he noted that a sign should be placed on the registration desk instructing the archers to present either their NFAA or their SFAA cards at time of registering for both target and 3D shoots.  Lincoln Park made a motion that at least a SFAA card be required at time of registration at all 3D shoots effective 1/2002, second Wa-Xo-Be. BCR vote was 3 in favor and 4 opposed.  Jim noted that Art Reimer did a good job on the Shaft newsletter.

V.P. Field Archery – Al Liguori

Al noted that the indoor States is ready to go.  The new computer program is complete and ready to go.

V.P. Bow Hunting – Cheryl Mitchell

Cheryl presented the heaviest deer award to Rick Fawley of Garden State for his 145 pound 9 point buck taken just off of the Club property.

V.P. Awards – Doug Joyce

Wa-Xo-Be made a motion that in order to be eligible to receive an award at the SFAA 3D Championship, the archer must possess at least a SFAA membership; all archers who do not have this membership or an NFAA membership will shoot as a non-competitive archer and will not be eligible to receive awards, this motion to become effective 1/2002, second Cape May.  Dover made a motion to table the above motion until our next meeting. BCR vote in favor of tabling the motion until our May meeting.

OLD BUSINESS:

Dover, Wa-Xo-Be and Cape May the three clubs hosting the indoor State Championship are prepared for the shoot, but are concerned because pre-registration is way down and they are hoping for walk in registration.

The SFAA-NJ website is up and running, check it out.  The service cost is $229.00 for the year.

Art Reimer talked with Doc Torre from Sumi and was informed that the club is finished and Sumi will be dropped from the rolls.  If Victory and Sequoia do not return their charters by our May meeting they too will be dropped from the SFAA.

Al Liguori noted that he is making progress in updating the registration desk instruction book.

The SFAA-NJ needs a printer help!!!

GOOD N WELFARE:

Wa-Xo-Be is holding a shooter school on April 6-8.  There are a few opening left.

There being no further business, a motion was made by Garden State to adjourn the meeting at 9:55 p.m., second by Dover and carried.

Respectfully submitted
