Wa-Xo-Be’s May 5, 2002 shoot.
V.P. Field Archery Al Liguori

Clubs hosting the Indoor States
instructions and information for running
the shoot. Weep sheets should be in the mail in two weeks
after the shoot.
V.P. Bow Hunting Cheryl Mitchell

be no heavy deer trophy awarded this year , as the archers who submitted the applications
did not met the qualifications for the

NEW BUSINESS:
COMMITTEE REPORT:
Wa-Xo-Be had 35 archers at
the Indoor States. The only complaint was the
archers do not want to shoot for two days.
At our May meeting we will
vote on the type of rounds the SFAA-NJ would like to shoot at both the Indoor and
Outdoor Sectionals for 2003.
The following are the
results of the NFAA vote at the agenda meeting:
Item submitted by
Item submitted by
Texas: At the National Indoor Tournament
if a style has less than twenty
(20) participants, beginning
with the next NFAA Indoor
Tournament and at all future NFAA National Tournaments, that the style be
discontinued following that tournament.
Item defeated by NFAA.
Item submitted by Southwest
Section: Freestyle Bowhunter. Eliminate this entire section. Anyone wishing
to compete with sights and release may compete in Freestyle.
Freestyle Limited
Bowhunter. Eliminate this
entire section. Anyone wishing to
compete with sights and fingers may compete in Freestyle Limited. Item defeated by the NFAA.
Item submitted by Mid
Atlantic Councilman: Change the official
Field round from 28
targets to 20 targets. Three arrows maximum at each target.
Using existing target faces.
Scored 10, 8, 5. Perfect score of 600.
Yardage to be eliminated, 80 yard walk up, 45 yard walk up, 15
yard and 35 foot walk up. X’s to be
counted as tie breakers only. At fan
shots, where two faces are presented, shoot two arrows in one face and one arrow
in the other. You choose. Item defeated by NFAA.
Item submitted by Pro Division: The
National Outdoor tournament winners are
chosen for their shooting
accuracy. The Animal Round should
reflect that accuracy by placing a target X-ring into the scoring area of the animal target. This X-ring would have a one point value and correspond with the X-ring size on the field target
shot at the same distance. Item
defeated by the NFAA.
President Reimer noted that
the SFAA secretary is retiring at the end of the year. The SFAA will be looking for a new
Secty. BCR’s take this
back to your Clubs.
