The Fifth regularly scheduled meeting of the State Field Archery Association of New Jersey for 2003 was held Friday evening November 21 19, 2003

 

President Doug Joyce called the meeting to order at 8:00 P.M.

Added scorecard to new state membership cards which are ready, and forwarded to Secretary.

Membership application awaiting correct fees.. Should be ready for Jan meeting.

Booklet -     Being finalized. Get BCR, Secy Names, Addresses, etc. to him ASAP. Call, email, whatever to Jim. Ads must be submitted if you are making changes. Harry’s upset because they didn’t get back cover. LAST DATE HAS PASSED.

Schedules will be stapled in book, and printed in book.

He would like to get out by January. 1000 books, 1500 schedules.

 

We will be participating in the Sportsmen show. Jan 8-10, 2004. Help will be needed.

Get any literature you want to be distributed there to Jim.

WEB SITE – NEW layout up and running. Mark has designed and posted at no charge to state.

State championship applications are on the web site.

Outdoor pending info for 3D championships.

Al needs application contact names. And info

Applications will be available on Web when completed.

 

Lincoln Park may drop NFAA affiliation.

Vegas round 2.5 minutes per end. FITA IS 2.0 minutes per end.

Outdoor championship traditional max distance 50 or 80 yds. NFAA rules must be used it will be 80yds.

2004 meeting -agenda items in mail. Will be distributed and voted on in Jan.

State Compliance has been signed and being submitted to NFAA.

Compliance requires

1. Outdoor championship traditional shooters 80 yds max

2. 3D championship patches only awarded to NFAA member

3. Range inspections – required each time a 3D layout is changed. $15 fee.

4. Resiprocity agreement with border state. NFAA knows nothing.

 

Watkins Glen info will be put on web site. Nascar races may be same date. Reservations not being taken yet

NFAA constitutions were given to all BCR 1

Increase SFAA annual dues from $5.00 to $10.00 dollars effective 1/1/04

 

Lengthy discussion followed.

Dover feels that we are only penalizing NFAA members because 3D and Sunday indoor shooters don’t require any card. Life members incur no cost.

Alternative suggested. Raise shoot fees instead.

To allow BCR to take back to clubs.

 

NEW BUSINESS

Resignation submitted By Art Reimer from the office of State Director. He will continue to serve as Dover BCR.

 

Doug Joyce will assume the vacated office, until the present term expires.
