Welcome
to one of man kinds oldest
pastimes. The State Field Archery Association of New Jersey; established in
1946; has been providing archery enthusiasts with activities, competitions, and
most of all, places to shoot and places to congregate with other archers. The
clubs of the association located from north to south are focal points for
archery within New Jersey. Whether your interests are in competition or just
plain practice the clubs of the State Field Archery Association
can provide it.
Archery is a family sport for both youths and adults; male and female.
Throughout the year activities include indoor target, outdoor field, and 3D
shooting. Experienced as well as novice shooters are always welcome to come out
and fling some arrows. For the competitor, State Championships are held d
uring
each calendar year to determine the top archers in the state; age categories and
awards from cubs through seniors are recognized. Casual shoots are held on a
weekly basis to provide members with the opportunity to sharpen their skills.
Several clubs also hold clinics for beginning archers and can provide
instruction as well as advice in properly equipping young archers. The State
Field Archery Association invites you to contact or visit a local club in your
area to try this time honored and challenging sport.
